Chicago’s Best Educational School Assemblies

Students engage, learn and feel inspired when magic becomes the ultimate teaching tool

You shouldn’t have to choose between fun and educational.

Most Chicago K-8 assemblies either bore students or waste valuable instruction time.

Mine don’t.

They’re loved by schools across the Chicago area because:

✅ They teach curriculum-based STEM, reading, or character content
✅ They use world-class magic to hold students’ attention from start to finish
✅ And they leave principals, teachers and parents as impressed as the kids

Kept everyone engaged... fun AND educational!
— Susan Geidner, Avoca West School, Glenview
Wonderful… students and adults alike were entertained.

Three Phenomenal Educational Assemblies For Your Chicago K-8 School

(And one phenomenal non-educational magic show!)

Engineering the Impossible

Theme: STEM/Science

Students discover how, for centuries, magicians have used science, math, and technology to create illusions—and how those same principles connect to what they’re learning today.

Along the way, they explore electromagnets, binary logic, and engineering design—then see those concepts in action.

Created and presented by a PTA dad

I’m Scott Green. I’ve been presenting educational assemblies to Chicago K-8 schools since 2009. These days, I’m also a PTA dad at my own kids’ schools.

So I get it.

You’re flooded with postcards and endless Google results—but it’s still hard to know which ones are actually worth your budget and your students’ time.

That’s why every program I create has to pass a simple test:

  • Would this work for my son’s cynical 7th grade classmates?

  • Would my daughter’s 4th grade friends love it?

  • Will the kindergartners stay engaged?

With 16+ years of experience—and some fun credits like Penn & Teller: Fool Us, team magician for the Chicago Bulls, and author of Excellence in Family Magic—I bring more than just tricks to the table.

My assemblies are designed to teach, inspire, and make the most of every minute your students spend with me.

An easy, stress-free process to book your Chicago-area school’s assembly

1. Check Availability

Let me know when and where you’d like your assemblies. I’ll be in touch promptly with availability, show options and pricing.

2. Confirm your booking

I’ll send over a plain-English agreement along with anything your school needs—W-9, certificate of insurance, etc. Sign and return it to lock in your date.

3. Watch students’ jaws drop

I show up early, set up quickly, and bring my own sound system. Afterward, students are engaged, inspired, and buzzing. On my way out, you ask how soon I can come back.

Don’t waste class time and budget on another forgettable school assembly.

Bring your Chicago K-8 school an assembly your students will love—and your school’s faculty will thank you for.

My students were begging me to bring Scott back again for next year. When students are engaged, excited, and motivated, then I think the assembly met the goals of a great educational experience.
— Debra Ciaccio, Principal, Prairie School, Orland Park
Totally worthwhile! Educational and really fun… you will NOT be disappointed.
— Sarah Dennis, Elementary Education Consultant, Chicago
Appealed to all ages… this being a K-8 school, that is often hard to do, but Scott did it!
— Barb O'Donnell, Third Grade Teacher, Antioch, IL

As Chicago’s most in-demand family performer, my prime dates tend to book up months in advance—especially in the fall and spring. If you're even thinking about bringing me in, now’s the time to reach out.
